Recently, Nationwide donated all the fasteners to build an "Extreme Makeover" home outside of Navasota, Texas.Recently, Nationwide donated all the fasteners to build an "Extreme Makeover" home outside of Navasota, Texas.

This 2,800 sq ft home was completed in 100 hours. This feat required our service truck to be at the jobsite during the duration of the framing stage. The framer completed his part in 15 hours. This was possible due to the highly skilled crews of Rudy's Framing 40 plus carpenters.

It was nice to see all the power tools and pneumatic tools we sell being used in this charitable project. (Click here for more pictures)

Take note of the type of nails being driven into pressure-treated wood in the homes you are building.

Take note of the type of nails being driven into pressure-treated wood in the homes you are building.The manufacturers of ACQ treated wood have a minimum requirement of hot-dip galvanize nail be used but a stainless steel nail is preferred. This requirement applies to all fasteners less than ½" diameter. The ACQ wood is used in various areas such as mud sill plate, exterior decks, and cedar fence.

We are stocking hot dip galvanized and stainless for this application.
